As an analyst with Summit Blue, Ms. Baker has performed building energy-use simulation modeling and analysis. One of her current projects involves developing a demand side management survey and an evaluation of technologies. Ms. Baker also has experience with renewable energy technologies.
Prior to joining Summit Blue Consulting, Ms. Baker gained experience at the International Finance Corporation as a short-term consultant where she created appraisal and supervision documents. At Stanford University, she completed a research project investigating different methods for wind farm financing and the sale of wind generated electricity. With the Stanford chapter of Engineers for a Sustainable World, Ms. Baker designed a sustainable university in India. Recently, she worked on a project for the Natural Resources Defense Council creating emissions factors for modern flexible-fuel vehicles fueled by ethanol (E85).
Ms. Baker graduated with honors from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Biology. She obtained her M.S. at Stanford University in the Atmosphere and Energy Master's Program within the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. MMs. Baker is a certified Engineer-in-Training through the state of Virginia and an LEED Accredited Professional.
