Energy Engineering Position Boulder to Burlington
Starting Location: Boulder, CO (6 months)
Permanent Location: Burlington, VT
Summit Blue Consulting, a Boulder-based renewable energy and energy
efficiency consulting company, is currently seeking qualified
candidates for entry and mid-level engineering positions for work on a
wide range of energy efficiency, energy conservation and renewable
energy projects.
Expected duties and responsibilities include analysis of energy
efficiency and renewable energy technologies, energy simulation
modeling, energy auditing and field measurement of the performance of
buildings, industrial processes and energy systems.
Preferred candidates will have: • an engineering degree with a focus on energy issues (advanced degree is a plus as is energy modeling experience)
• strong analytic and project management skills
• experience with energy analysis tools and methods
• good verbal and written communication skills, and
• the ability to work in a team environment and oversee the work of other team members

Engineer
Summit Blue Consulting (www.summitblue.com) is seeking a junior to mid level engineer to support multiple projects. Primary tasks include energy analysis and modeling, impact evaluations, field research using data collection instruments, and report writing. Interpersonal skills and the ability to conduct market and technology research across a broad range of energy industry participants are also important. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, an interest in the energy efficiency and renewables industry, and have familiarity with energy efficiency concepts. Qualifications:
- College degree in engineering or related field; graduate degree a plus
- Familiarity with energy efficiency measures, programs, and concepts
- Strong interpersonal communication and interviewing skills

- Strong quantitative analytical skills
- Computer skills, including building simulation modeling and complex spreadsheets
