This month's spotlight is on Patricia Thompson, JD, BS, who is located in Summit Blue's California office. Ms. Thompson's current work focuses on renewable energy program design, effective use of education, outreach, and social marketing campaigns, as well as regulatory compliance. She has managed over $1 million of solar research in the past year alone.

Her project base reflects her diverse interests, ranging from an evaluation of a $7 million social marketing campaign to consulting on strategic renewable energy acquisition targets for a major industrial client. Ms. Thompson regularly speaks on these topics at workshops and conferences (AESP, IEPEC, E Source EMR, Berkeley's Haas School of Business).

She has been providing strategic advice in the multidisciplinary space of energy, environment and law since 1990. Her clients include state utility commissions and working groups, regional power agencies, utilities, industrial end-users, water agencies and municipalities. An alum of E Source, she has also served as the editor-in-chief of the Colorado Journal of International Environmental Law and Policy and as a city planning commissioner.
